DC Baramulla reviews measures for opening of Educational institutions

 

Baramulla: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar today chaired a meeting with the heads of various educational institutions to discuss various means and measures with regard to the opening of schools/colleges in the district.

The meeting was convened in view of the government’s consideration of partially opening the educational institutions that have been closed due to COVID-19 pandemic.

On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion was held during which various necessary matters were taken into consideration. The concerned authorities also put forth their suggestions and feedback pertaining to the subject.

Meanwhile, the DC directed to put in place a viable mechanism so that public health vis-à-vis education of the students is not compromised. He further added that a mass vaccination drive shall be launched wherein every student shall be vaccinated.

Moreover, he emphasized upon the concerned authorities to ensure that appropriate COVID behaviour is followed in letter and spirit besides terming it vital for averting exigencies.

Among others principals of various Colleges, Chief Medical officer, Chief Education officer and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
