DC Budgam felicitates 50 aspiring entrepreneurs at RSETI Centre

Budgam: District Development Commissioner, Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganaie today laid emphasis on promotion of entrepreneurship through imparting skill oriented trainings to youth in the district.
The DDC was speaking at a Valedictory and Certificate Distribution function at RSETI centre in Budgam.
As many as 35 women aspiring entrepreneurs who completed tailoring course and 17 candidates who were given Business Management related training were felicitated during the function.
Among other, the function was attended by Cluster Head J&K Bank Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad, Director RSETI Budgam, Tahira Parveen and Lead District Manager, Miyan Farhat Manzoor.
Stressing on promotion of self employment, the DDC said that special focus will be given to entrepreneurship development through imparting skill oriented training to unemployed youths under various government sponsored schemes across the district.
The DDC asked aspiring entrepreneurs to make best use of the trainings and provide job opportunities to other unemployed youth by running their units successfully. He said that the district administration will provide every possible support and assistance to the RSETI.
At the outset, the DDC visited the classrooms and interacted with the trainees and urged them to exhibit new and innovative designs for better market prospects. The trainees also presented live demonstration of cutting and tailoring.
The DDC appreciated the RSETI and J&K Bank over smooth and successful functioning of the Center and urged concerned to ensure that maximum number of youth are trained through these skill orientation courses each year.
On the occasion, Director RSETI Budgam, Tahira Parveen said that the centre has organized 15 skill oriented courses and 494 candidates have been imparted training in Plumbing and Sanitary, Mobile Repairing, Computer Networking, Electric Fitting, Poultry, Sheep Rearing, Mushroom Cultivation, Women’s Tailoring, Embroidery, Hand Knitting, Tilla Work, Staple, General EDP, PMEGP and JKREGP courses. She said that the RSETI has conducted 29 awareness camps in different rural areas of the district during current fiscal.
