DC Budgam holds Public Interaction programme at Khanda, BK Pora

 

BUDGAM : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today said that public interaction programmes are yielding better results and public in general has accepted such initiatives with good faith and the initiative has helped build huge trust of public in administration.

The DC made these remarks while addressing the gathering at the lawns of Higher Secondary School Khandah, here in a public darbar organized by District Administration.

On the occasion, the DDC stressed upon the gathering consisting of locals as well as public from adjacent areas that such interactions provide an opportunity to locals to register their genuine demands and grievances for immediate redressal taking advantage of presence of District administration at their door steps.

Earlier, deputations as well as individuals apprised the DC about various demands and problems locals are facing including improvement of roads, improvement in water supply particularly up graduation and enhancing capacity of water supply schemes, construction of play fields, resettlement of agriculture land on digital mode as earlier settlement has lot of errors for which complaints always keep pouring in from public in huge numbers.

Besides improvement of HT and LT electricity lines, replacement of damaged electric poles was also put forth by the locals.

Responding to these demands, the DC assured that the genuine demands raised will be addressed soon taking into consideration the impending winter season.

The public interaction programme was also attended by SDM Chadoora, Programme officer ICDS, CMO Budgam, CEO, DSWO, all Ex. Engineers, Tehsildar BK Pora, BDO and other officers and officials concerned.
