DC chairs DLTFC meeting to review implementation of Mission Youth initiatives in Kathua

 

KATHUA : District Development Commissioner Kathua Rahul Yadav today chaired the maiden meeting of District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) to review the implementation of umbrella of schemes under Mission Youth in the district here at DC office complex.

At the outset, the DDC called upon the members to create adequate awareness about the scheme so that eligible candidates are encouraged to take the benefit of the schemes.

While reviewing the progress made under various schemes of Mission Youth, the DC Rahul Yadav gave directions for fast-tracking the process of grant of benefit under the schemes of the Mission Youth. He directed stakeholder departments to make sincere efforts to remove hindrances faced by the youth in availing benefits under the Mission Youth by coordinating and guiding them wherever required and extend personal intervention for their proper hand holding.

The DC issued strict directions and set deadlines for the Rural Development Department and Employment Department for identification of youth for self-employment schemes and to ensure that the cases are approved at district level in the time bound manner.

Pertinently, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor JKUT has issued directions regarding self-employment of 5 youth in every panchayat and 10 youth from panchayats falling under Border belt.

Earlier, OSD to Mission Youth, Gourav Gupta gave a detailed presentation about the objectives envisioned under Mission Youth and relevance with respect to socio-economic development of the district. He sensitized all the officers present about the wide range of initiatives under the Mission Youth including promotion of self employment through schemes like Mumkin, Tejaswani, Tourist Village Network, Skill Development, SAHAYTA, AVSAR, PARVAAZ, promotion of Youth Clubs, Holding Talent Hunts, Mega Sports events for giving positive direction to youth energy besides special initiatives for de-addiction, self employment of specially abled youth, Scholarship schemes like LG Super-75 (Boys and Girls), Sustainable Initiatives like Green Youth Alliance.

He also spoke in detail about the procedure for availing the various benefits under the schemes as well as how Mission Youth aims to be a one-stop solution for fulfillment of aspiration of youth in J&K.

The meeting was attended by ASP Kathua, Suresh Kumar Chib, CPO Uttam Singh, DSEO Ranjeet Singh, CEO LSDA DC Bhatti, CHO, AD Employment bank official and officials of Employment were also present.
