DC Doda hands over keys of commercial vehicles to MUMKIN Scheme beneficiaries

 

DODA : Three commercial Vehicles under MUMKIN Scheme were today provided to MUMKIN scheme beneficiaries here at a simple function organised here at Conference Hall of DC office Complex.

Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr R K Bharti; ACR Sanjeev Kumar; CPO, Parshotam Kumar; ARTO, Er Kuldeep Singh; District Nodal Officer (AD Employment) Anoop Kumar; representative of J&K Bank, besides representatives of the Ashoka Leyland company were present on the occasion.

Three selected applicants namely Shafaitullah of Thathri ; Nasir Ahmed of Parmar Doda and Tanveer Ahmed of Malwana Gundna were handed over the keys of the vehicles and other documents.

Earlier, in the month of May 2021 the applications were invited through JK e-Services Portal and about 124 applications were received online in respect of District Doda. After due verification & scrutiny of the applications, District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) chaired by DC Doda approved 70 applications in the first phase.

Pertinent to mention “MUMKIN” is a Customized Livelihood Scheme for the Youth in the age group 18-35 of J&K launched by LG J&K in November, 2020.

The purpose of the Scheme is to facilitate the youth to enable youth to earn livelihood in the transport sector by providing financial assistance for purchase of small commercial vehicles.

Under the Scheme Banking Partner extends loan facility to the extent of 100% of the On-road Price of the vehicle purchased. Mission Youth, J&K provides an amount of Rs 80,000 or 10% of on-road price of the vehicle (whichever is lesser) as upfront subsidy.

The vehicle manufacturer (Scheme Partner of Govt.) also provides an upfront special discount, not less than the amount of subsidy.
