DC Doda holds introductory meeting with DDC members
Doda: Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Sharma today held an introductory meeting with District Development Council members, here in the mini meeting hall of DC office.
During the meeting, the DC was apprised by DDC members about various issues faced by them, while executing their daily routine field work in their constituencies.
The DDC members sought uninterrupted power supply and curtailment in un-scheduled power cuts especially in rural areas, filling of vacant posts of Tehsildars, BDOs, teachers etc, tourism infrastructure at potential places including Jantroon Dhar, low mobile network connectivity in rural areas, release of pending PMAY payments, transfer of overstayed employees etc.
Meeting was informed by ACD that land has been identified for District Panchayat Resource Centre near Doda town. Funds are available and DPR has been submitted for appraisal.
The DC informed that all the key functionaries shall be held answerable to the issues raised by them in the subsequent meetings. He further informed that Capacity building programme for DDC members shall be started soon to acquaint them about the schemes and developmental projects for the better functioning of the Panchayat institution.
The DC also requested all the members in the meeting to sensitise the public on COVID-19 pandemic and motivate people to follow COVID-19 SOPs in letter and spirit and take vaccination to curb the fresh surge in cases.
