DC Doda reviews progress of work on mega development projects

Doda : Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting of senior functionaries of the executing agencies to review the progress of work on the mega developmental projects, material availability and bottlenecks impeding the progress, if any.

During the meeting, the DC enquired about the number of ongoing projects in the district, besides reviewed the availability of funds, physical progress and expenditure incurred by the departments as on date.

While reviewing the projects of PWD Doda which includes GMC Doda, Teaching hospital, OBC hostel, High Altitude Medicinal Plant at Bhaderwah, Truck Terminal etc, the DC directed the department to draft the pert chart of all ongoing mega projects to facilitate daily monitoring for their timely completion.

The DGM JKPCC said that out of 16 projects being executed by the Corporation work on 5 is going on while 9 are held up.

The DC directed the concerned to expedite the progress, start double shift on each work, besides submit the list of the projects with their present status.

With regard to the projects of NHIDCL, the DC enquired about land acquisition status, documentation of revenue papers, bottlenecks, if any. The DC asked the concerned to finalise the dates for distribution of compensation in the upcoming week.

Further the departments informed the DC that there is no shortage of material supply for the projects and assured timely completion of the approved works.

The meeting was attended by SE PWD, Deputy General Manager JKPCC, Manager NHIDCL, DMO Doda, AD Planning.
