DC Ganderbal inaugurates Oxygen plant at Dist. Hospital
Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna in presence of Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Rather today inaugurated 1000 LPM Oxygen plant at District Hospital (DH) Ganderbal here.
On the occasion, the DC said that with the commissioning of 1000 LPM Oxygen plant, the demand for oxygen that had increased because of the Covid-19 pandemic would be met and it can cater to over 100 beds.
Jyotsna complemented the executing agency for completing the oxygen plant on a war footing basis to accept challenge to ensure oxygen supply as per demand adding that with the commissioning of this plant the hospital has become self-sufficient to cater to the medical oxygen needs.
She reiterated that the district Administration has ensured that all emergency medical facilities are in place at District Hospital which is designated as Covid hospital to meet any emergency situation.
Meanwhile, the DDC also enquired about the management and treatment being provided to the Covid-19 patients.
She appreciated the role of medical staff in different aspects of Covid management besides providing proper treatment to Covid patients and expressed her satisfaction over the healthcare arrangements and other facilities being provided to the patients.
The DC urged upon the people to strictly follow covid appropriate behavior, ensure use of face masks, frequent handwashing and maintain social distance.
The Director Health Services Kashmir, congratulated the people of Ganderbal for having such a facility available at the time when there is large scale demand of medical oxygen due to covid pandemic.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmed Baba, Chief Medical Officer Ganderbal Dr. Mehraj u Din, Medical Superintendent DH and officials of executing agency were present on the occasion.
