DC inspects progress of works on Int’l Yoga Centre at Mantalai; Listens to issues of locals

 

UDHAMPUR : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Indu Kanwal Chib today conducted an extensive visit to Mantalai and listened to public issues at a public outreach camp.

BDC Chairman, Chenani Parkash Chand, DDC Member, Usha Devi besides PRIs and general public hailing from adjoining villages participated in the camp and raised many issues and demands.

They demanded establishment of KV at Mantalai, Road connectivity, augmentation of drinking water, construction of an alternate road etc.

Meanwhile, the DC reviewed the progress of the prestigious International Yoga Centre and other ongoing developmental works being executed by different sectors at Mantalai.

The representative of National Projects Construction Corporation (NPCC) gave a brief about the present status of ongoing developmental works of the prestigious project.

The DC directed NPCC to expedite the progress of ongoing developmental work of the prestigious project. She set the deadline of October for completion of the project.

The DC also reviewed the progress on the projects coming up in Mantalai including Tourist facilitation centre, dining centre/ cafeteria, eco log huts with solariums integrated into cottage design, Meditation enclaves in apple orchard; helipad, ambulance shed, fire tender, wind vane, open air amphitheater with green rooms, landscaping, beautification of premises, Parking area with gender based toilets, security check posts, guard rooms, sewage Treatment plant, water treatment plant, battery operated cars, installation of signages.

The DC also visited the International Yoga Centre where she inspected the ongoing construction work of the Yoga Centre and instructed the concerned agencies for its timely completion.
