DC inspects work progress at NIFT Campus, Budgam; Stresses on work completion on all blocks within two month’s time

 

BUDGAM : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today visited the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), campus at Ompora Budgam to inspect the pace and progress of work process of the project.

During his visit, the DC took stock of progress made in the construction work of Academic cum Administrative Block, Auditorium Incubation, Canteen, Boys and Girls hostels, Guest House, site development, boundary wall and other construction works going on at the campus.

He emphasized on the work expedition and labour mobilization for timely completion of the pending work in a speedy manner.

He said that under the clear directions of Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar Mehta all pending work has to be completed within the next two months, to ensure early functioning of the campus.

The DC further said that the classes shall be shifted from its present Rangreth building to new campus from March 15. In this regard, he gave directions to the concerned to ensure pending work is finished at identified blocks before this date.

Director, NIFT, Dr Javid Ahmad Wani, Superintendent Engineer, SIDCO, Nazir Ahmad, Executive Engineer SIDCO, Fayaz Ahmad and other concerned accompanied the DC on the occasion.
