DC Jammu approves 9 cases under SRO -43; Reviews pace of progress on District Capex Budget works

Jammu: Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg today approved 9 compassionate appointment and cash compensation cases of NOKs of civilians, paramilitary forces and Army under J&K Compassionate Appointment Rules 1994 SRO-43 here at a meeting of District Level Coordination cum Screening Committee.

The District level Committee led by the Deputy Commissioner approved 9 cases out of 18 cases after thorough scrutiny.

In a separate meeting, the DC reviewed the pace of progress on under execution and new works proposed under District Capex Budget 2021-22.

The Deputy Commissioner took a comprehensive review on the progress of developmental projects undertaken by Rural Development, Education, Health, KPDCL, Jal Shakti, PWD and other sectors.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of works on different projects for their time-bound completion.

He emphasized on completion of all the pending works on priority so that the aspirations of the public are met. He also cautioned against laxity in completing the works within a fixed time line and said will not be tolerated at all. Completion of the works within the stipulated time is imperative to avoid cost and time escalation, he said and asked for mobilizing men and machinery to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.

Meanwhile, various issues and bottlenecks impeding the completion of projects were also highlighted by the concerned officers and sought the speedy disposal of these issues.

The DC also took a detailed review of the progress of construction and upgradation of roads in the district.

ADC Satish Sharma, CPO Yoginder Katoch, Chief Medical Officer JP Singh, representatives of BSF, CISF besides other senior officers of the concerned departments such as PWD, RDD, Health were present in the meetings.
