DC Kathua discusses promotion of Good Governance Practices with line departments

Stresses on technological intervention to ease life of common man

 

KATHUA : On 5th day of the ‘Good Governance Week’ campaign organised under the aegis ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav today discussed promotion of Good Governance Practices with the line departments here at a meeting held in the conference hall of DC office.

At the outset, the DC exhorted the officers to come up with new ideas and ways to ease the life of the common man by bringing procedural and technological interventions in the governance system.

The meeting held detailed deliberations regarding Good Governance Practices and exploring the possibilities of maximum technological intervention and providing of public service online by different departments.

The DC impressed upon asset mapping of Power transformers using GIS and asked the Executive Engineer JPDCL to take up the matter with higher ups.

He also called for qualitative disposal of grievances and timely submission of the action taken report to the DC office for update.

While discussing the good practices in different domains, the meeting was apprised regarding initiatives taken by different departments like Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, Agriculture, School Education and others.

The DC welcomed suggestions put forth by different departments and called for adopting best practices followed by other districts, states to facilitate prompt public grievances redressal and efficient Public Service delivery mechanism.

The DC said the administration will extend full cooperation and support to promote novel ideas, suggestions as well as technological interventions aimed at benefiting the lives of last mile users.
