DC Kishtwar chairs weekly Block Diwas at Nali Bonjwah

 

Kishtwar: With an aim to redress the grievances and to reach-out the people at their door steps, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired the weekly Block Diwas at Nali Bonjwah.

He was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr Harmeet Singh Mehata; BDC Chairperson, Bounjwah, Maryama Begum; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr Amir Hussain; Assistant Labour Commissioner, Anoop Kumar; DSWO, Tariq Parveaz Qazi; Tehsildar Bonjwah, Irshad Ahmed Butt; BDO Anees Malik; CHO Mushtaq Ahmed Wani; CAO, SK Bhagat besides XEns and other district officers.

Sarpanches of adjoining Panchayats, besides the locals and the civil society members thronged the programme and projected their grievances and highlighted local issues.

They demanded completion of blacktopping of Bounjwah road, Completion of receiving station, adequate staff at HSS Bonjwah and HS Kither; construction of community service centre, tile work at Dramni ground Bounjwah, replacement of electric poles in Tipri panchayat, speeding up of work on Shadekha-Naga road in Mori Panchayat, alignment issue of TKM-Mori road, construction of school buildings at Chamki, Gidson and Batakhpora, restoration of water supply scheme at Dehni, reopening of GMS Jwalapur, upgradation of MS gujjar Basti upto High school, development of tourism sector at davigool among others.

The DC redressed most of the issues on the spot and assured early redress of the rest of the grievances in due course of time.

On the issue of land compensation, he informed that the issue has been taken up with the higher authorities and the matter will be resolved in a time bound manner, besides he directed XEn PMGSY to start the work on roads and expedite the pace of work.

The DC further informed the participants that under PMGSY phase III, the hamlets with population of 250 souls or more have been projected for road connectivity.

Regarding issue of inadequate staff in schools, he asked ZEO concerned to submit school wise list of teachers along with their posting details by next Monday to work out rationalisation of and posting of sufficient teaching staff in each school.

Meanwhile, 60 domicile, 3 RBA, 24 ST certificates were issued to the applicants on the spot.
