DC Kishtwar discusses activities for National Pension week

Asks to chalk out detailed Action plan for awareness, registration of un-organised workers

 

KISHTWAR : Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today convened a meeting of concerned officers to discuss activities for Nation Pension week being held under Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan (PM-SYM) scheme being held from March 7, 2022 to March 13, 2022.

The Deputy Commissioner asked for covering all genuine unorganised workers including MG-NREGA job card holders, brick kiln workers, pony wallas, labour card holders and all those eligible under the pension scheme.

The DC stressed on concerned departments including Employment and Rural Development Department to work in a collaborative manner to compile the list of genuine workers.

He emphasized on the concerned departments to chalk out an action plan to disseminate awareness about the scheme through print and electronic media so that no genuine worker is left out in the process. He stressed on conducting awareness camps during the pension week to saturate the eligible beneficiaries under the scheme at the doorstep of people.

The AD Employment/ALC was asked to ensure the maximum number of workers are registered daily and to inform the DC Office regularly.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director planning Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner Development Atul Dutt Sharma; DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal; Assistant Director Employment/ALC Amit Kumar; Chief Horticulture officers Mushtaq Ahmed Wani; Chief Agriculture Officer S K Bhagat besides other concerned officers and BDOs among others.
