DC Kishtwar discusses modalities for e-Shram registration

KISHTWAR : Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of District Level Implementation Committee to discuss the modalities for e-Shram registration of unorganised workers.

Block Development Chairpersons, General Manager District Industries Centre, District Social Welfare Officer, Chief Medical officer, Chief Education Officer,Chief Agriculture Officer, Executive Officer MC , Assistant Labour Commissioner besides BDOs and officers of CSC attended the meeting.

During the meeting the DLIC members were asked to make all out efforts to conduct the Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities to motivate unorganised labourers/workers for registering on the e-Shram portal.

The stakeholder departments were asked to work in tandem and to identify the unorganised labourers and register them under the newly rolled out e- shram portal, the registration for which has started from 26-08-2021.

PRI members were asked to spread awareness about the scheme at grassroots level so that the benefits of the scheme percolate down to the targeted lot.

Besides the BDOs were asked to rope in the youth clubs in the registration process and the officers of the CSC were asked to coordinate with the concerned Departments/officers for effective saturation.
