DC Kishtwar flags off 3rd contingent to Gulmarg for attending Skiing course
Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today flagged-off 3rd Carvan of 10 male students for 15 day Skiing course at Gulmarg.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC asked the students to learn the course with full dedication besides impressed upon them to take all precautionary measures against COVID-19 pandemic during their journey and stay.
He also directed DYSSO Kishtwar to organise a workshop for the students who are unable to participate in this Skiing camp and invite the students who have been trained at Gulmarg as guest faculty in these workshops.
Deputy Commissioner also appreciated the role of Director General Youth Services & Sports Dr Saleem -ur-Rehman for his keen interest in promotion of local talent.
DYSSO Kishtwar, Kharati Lal Sharma, in his welcome address said that students from different zones have been selected for this course and full boarding and lodging facilities at the venue and enroute shall be ensured by the department.
He also informed that the 1st and 2nd contingents of 20 boys and girls each have already completed the course at Gulmarg.
