DC Kishtwar flags off Moblie Van for distribution of Ayush Immunity Booster Medicines

 

Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today flagged off Medical mobile Unit for distribution of Immunity Boosters (Ayush) medicines in the District here from New DC office Complex Mini secretariat.

Nodal Officer ISM (AYUSH), Dr. Tariq Hussain informed that the Mobile Unit will cover the areas where there is no ISM dispensary to provide Immunity Booster (AYUSH) Medicine to Frontline Workers and Senior Citizens among the vast population of the densely populated district.

The aim of the department is to cover 100% population of Senior Citizens, frontline workers, Officer and Officials who are working day and night to combat the spread of Covid virus.

The immunity boosters will be distributed by ISM (AYUSH) in collaboration with Health Department.The DDC directed Chief Medical Officer and Nodal officer ISM (AYUSH) to conduct the awareness regarding the COVID-19 vaccination in convergence with the distribution of the immunity boosters.

As per ISM during the first phase, the Immunity Boosters (AYUSH) Medicines were distributed to frontline workers/ Police officer and officials, CRPF, CISF, all departments of Mini-Secretariat Kishtwar, all quarantine centers, Senior Citizens, District Hospital Kishtwar (Doctors and paramedical Staff), employees of Municipal Committee Kishtwar, BDO offices, PRIs etc.

The total beneficiaries covered so far are 50484 from April 4, 2020 to April 5, 2021.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ravinder Manhas, besides Medical and para medical Staff of Health Department and ISM were present on the occasion.
