DC Kishtwar reviews pending land compensation cases

Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Ashok Sharma, today reviewed the progress in the disbursement of compensation claims for the land acquired for different projects in the district.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal; SDM, Chatroo, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; SDM, Paddar, Varunjeet Singh Charak; XEn PMGSY, Mohinder Singh; XEn PWD, Division Marwah, Mohd Aslam Lone besides others.

In the meeting thread bare discussion regarding the status of the land compensation paid /pending was reviewed and slew of directions were passed on to the concerned collectors to resolve the issues of long pending payments of land compensation.

In this regard, the DC directed the collectors to finalise the pending awards and start disbursement of the awarded amount among the rightful land owners. Further, the collectors were asked to project the road wise additional land compensation amounts so that the same could be projected to the higher authorities for timely sanctioning.

In order to ensure the road connectivity across the district, the DC asked the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work of the ongoing roads.
