DC Kishtwar reviews Ramadan arrangements

Kishtwar: To finalise the arrangements for holy month of Ramadan, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of officers and representatives of religious, social and trade organisations here in conference Hall DC office Kishtwar.
ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kumar Parihar, besides concerned district Officers, Administrator, Auqaf Islamia were present in the meeting.
The representatives of the religious, social and trade organizations asked for uninterrupted water and power supply, adequate security arrangements, better sanitation and strict check on quality and rates of essential commodities during the holy month.
The DC directed the officers of all concerned departments to work in a synergized manner for the convenience the common people.
Stressing on the need of uninterrupted power and water supply across the district, DC directed Xen JPDCL and XEN Jal Shakti to take adequate measures in this regard.
He further directed the concerned heads of departments to ensure availability of all requisite and essential commodities, especially mutton, Chicken, Vegetables and milk on prescribed rates during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Emphasizing on the cleanliness/sanitation, instruction were issued to Executive Officer, MC Kishtwar to launch cleanliness drive around religious places.
He further directed Assistant Director FCS&CA, District Sheep Husbandry Officer-and EO Municipal council, Designated Officers Food Safety departments to constitute joint teams and checking squads and intensify market checking and take strict action against the hoarders and black marketers.
He further impressed upon the officers of police and revenue departments to enforce the use of masks by all shopkeepers and general public and ensure the SOPs were followed strictly in order to prevent the spread of Covid 19 pandemic.
He also appealed all those over 45 year age to get vaccination and follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.
He also asked them to report to the surveillance teams or District control room if any person(s) returns to their area from COVID-19 affected states and UTs about the local persons who have developed COVID-19 symptoms so that the surveillance teams reach to them to test, track and treat them to prevent any further spread of this disease.
