DC Kishtwar takes stock of Covid mitigation measures; Calls for intensifying vaccination drive, PMJAY-sehat registration

Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar, Ashok Sharma today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of the COVID19 Vaccination and the status of the registration under PMJAY-SEHAT scheme.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishori Lal Sharma; SDM Chatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar; ACR, Akhter Hussain Qazi; SDM Paddar Varunjeet Singh Charak; SDM Marwah Dr Mohsin Raza; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Zakir Hussain; CMO Kishtwar Dr R S Manhas besides BDOs , Tehsildars and health officers attended the meeting.
At the outset, the CMO Kishtwar informed that over 77% age appropriate persons have been vaccinated in the district and the process is on to inoculate the rest 10,000 persons within 10 days.
The DC asked the concerned to take proactive measures and mobilize all resources and manpower to conduct cent percent vaccination and implementation of all preventive measures.
The DC further directed concerned Health authorities to take the services of Asha workers to mobilize the persons above 45 years for vaccination.
The chair also directed officers to devise a roadmap to ramp up the vaccination in the far flung areas besides intensifying the testing and surveillance on contact tracing of positive cases particularly in the offices where footfall is high.
The BDOs and Tehsildars were called for raising awareness among the masses in Coordination with the concerned BMOs and to persuade the people especially above 45 years of age for vaccination.
They were further directed to maintain the data for the vaccination on a daily basis and share the same with Sub-Divisional Monitoring Committees headed by concerned SDMs for further submission to his office and then for forwarding to SEC for monitoring the progress.
He called for roping in NGOs, religious heads, PRIs and other influencers to motivate the eligible persons for vaccination. He asked them to share the vaccination schedules with the public in advance so that they may not face any inconvenience in getting the jab.
While reviewing the progress on the registration of beneficiaries under the PMJAY SEHAT scheme, the concerned agency was asked to expedite the pace so that the eligible persons may benefit from the schemes.
He asked the concerned agencies to ensure that the VLEs conduct the registration of left out beneficiaries in each Panchayat in clean sweep mode and complete the process within a month of time.
