DC Kulgam flags-off group of farmers on exposure tour

Kulgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal-Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today flagged-off a group of farmers of the district for a day long exposure cum training programme to SKUAST-K Shalimar.

The tour was organized by Agriculture Department Kulgam with an aim to educate farmers with modern methodologies and technologies in the farming sector.

During the tour, the farmers will get to know about the integrated and holistic development of the Agriculture sector covering vegetables, mushrooms, spices etc through various interventions.

On the occasion, the DDC interacted with these farmers and said that such programmes will help them to acquaint themselves with the latest technology and practices and asked them to make the best use of the training programme.

Chief Agriculture Officer Farooq Ahmad informed that during the tour, the farmers will get an opportunity to interact with scientists and will be given the practical demonstration of the latest technology in the field.
