DC Kulgam visits DIET complex, OSC, Tehsil Office

Kulgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat today visited DIET Complex Kulgam and took stock of the functioning of different wings/sections of the institution.

The DC gave on spot instructions to develop the library, speed up the process of research and training.

While visiting the cultural heritage centre at the institution, the DC appreciated the authorities for establishment of the cultural heritage centre and stressed for the addition of more items showcasing our rich culture.

He also instructed for expansion of the cultural heritage section and assured all possible assistance for the flourishing of the centre.

Later, the DC visited Sakhi- One Stop Centre (OSC) for women and directed to improve services at the centre.

It was informed that the centre is designed to help victims and provide them access to integrated range of services under one roof including medical aid, police assistance, legal aid, shelter and other helps to women and girls to fight against any kind of violence.

Earlier the DC paid a surprise visit to Tehsil office Kulgam where he stressed to improve sanitation in and around the complex and to provide better and coordinated services to people.

He also instructed to ensure timely redressal of public grievances and issues.

The DC also visited the drug de- addiction centre at Kulgam.
