DC Kupwara inspects ongoing construction of Biotech park at Handwara
Stresses officers for completion of project by December this year
KUPWARA : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today visited Handwara sub division and inspected various ongoing developmental works. He was accompanied by DDC Member Rajwar, Sulaiman Mir; President Municipal Committee Handwara, Masroor Ahmad Banday and concerned officers.
During the visit the DC inspected ongoing construction of Biotech park which is being executed by Science and Technology department in collaboration with Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine.
On the occasion, it was informed that the project is of its first kind to be established in the district which will improve the income generating capacity.
The DC stressed upon the concerned officers to speed up the pace of progress on the project by working in double shifts and ensure its completion by December this year.
Later, the DC visited Environmental Hall Handwara and reviewed arrangements for conduct of block diwas programme which will be chaired by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.
He directed the concerned officers for proper arrangements to be put in place for smooth conduct of the Block diwas programme.
