DC Kupwara presides over final cricket match at Kalaroose

 

KUPWARA : A final cricket match was conducted by Indian Army in collaboration with civil administration on Sunday at Kalaroos of Kupwara district to mark the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas.

The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din was chief guest on the occasion. Col MS Navalgatti, CO, 41RR; Chaudhary Mustafa Rahie, DDC member Kalaroose and Rashad, DSP HQ Kupwara were also present and witnessed the final match.

The final match was played between Senior Lords Cricket Club and Kalaroose Cricket Club and Senior Lords Cricket Club won the final by scoring 219 runs.

Later, the winning team was felicitated by the Deputy Commissioner with awards.

While addressing the youth, the Deputy Commissioner asked them to take part in sports activities for attaining good health and discipline in their lives. He said that the sports inculcate the spirit of unity and integration among the youth.

The match was witnessed by a large number of youth and people from different areas.
