DC Kupwara takes stock for implementation of COVID SOPs

Kupwara: Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kupwara Imam Din along with team of officers today inspected various markets of Kupwara Town including Iqbal Market, By-pass market, Bus Stand , Regipora Market, Jamia Market, Old Chowk etc and took stock of the implementation of COVID appropriate behaviour including usage of masks and maintenance of social distance at ground level.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner imposed fine on the violators of COVID SOPs for not wearing masks.

Taking serious note of the encroachments caused by shopkeepers on footpaths, the team headed by Deputy Commissioner destroyed various goods on spot to remove the encroachment.

The Deputy Commissioner warned the shopkeeper for repeating such encroachment on footpaths.

On the occasion Deputy Commissioner advised people to strictly follow the COVID SOPs and ensure use of masks, sanitizers and maintain social distance.
