DC Kupwara visits Kulangam, inaugurates ISM Dispensary
Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today visited Kulangam area of Handwara subdivision to take stock of developmental activities on ground.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) inaugurated ISM Dispensary at Astaan Mohalla, Kulangam in presence of DDC Member, Rajwar, Mir Sulimaan; ADDC, Kupwara, Mohammad Ashraf Bhat; ADC, Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir; Nodal Officer, AYUSH and concerned Officers and Engineers. The Dispensary was completed at a cost of Rs.44 Lakh.
On the occasion, the DC said that Indian System of Medicine is growing at a fast pace in the district and people are responding positively to the treatment being provided at AYUSHMAN hospitals in the district.
He stressed upon the concerned officer to provide better services to people coming to the Dispensary for treatment. He said District Administration is putting all possible efforts to further develop the ISM in the district.
The DC also planted some pine trees within the premises of the Dispensary.
Later, the DC and the DDC Member inspected ongoing work of 50 bedded District Ayush Hospital (DAH), coming up at a cost of Rs.7.32 crore. The Hospital, when completed, will be the first of its kind (District Ayush Hospital) in the valley. The plinth level of the Hospital has been completed.
The DC directed the concerned engineers to speed up the execution work of the Hospital and ensure its completion within the stipulated time frame. He also stressed for using standard material in the construction.
The DC also visited Angel Stadium, Kulangam and asked concerned officers to recommend the Stadium for its further development under the Khelo India programme.
The DC and DDC Member, later held a Public Darbar at Apna Panchayat Ghar, Kulangam and heard the public grievances, projected by the people and the PRIs. The issues raised, on the occasion, include construction of lanes and drains, maintenance of inner link roads and other day to day related matters.
The DC directed concerned officers to resolve the public issues on priority basis so that people do not face any inconvenience.
