DC launches Fit India 2.0 campaign at Pulwama

 

PULWAMA : The District Youth Services and Sports Office (DYS&SO) Pulwama today organized a Marathon here in which more than 150 youths and children took part.

The Marathon was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary.

The DC appreciated the efforts of the Department of Youth Services and Sports and said that such events shall lead to a healthy lifestyle and would be pivotal in delaying the early onset of lifestyle diseases. He added that sports imbibe leadership qualities besides it also adds value to life by inculcating team spirit and tolerance.

The marathon started from the DC office complex and culminated at Women’s College Pulwama.

At the culmination of the marathon, a prize distribution ceremony was organised and the DC distributed prizes among winners.

District Sports Officer Noor ul Haq, other officers and officials were present on the occasion.
