DC Poonch felicitates Taekwondo players

 

POONCH : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today felicitated young and budding Taekwondo players of the district, here at DC office.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner and Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar met with the players who won many Gold medals for District Poonch and also represented J&K UT in National and International Level competitions.

All these players have been imparted training by Rajinder Singh, Physical Education Teacher and Taekwondo coach of Poonch .

Speaking on the occasion, the coach said that he was very optimistic that with the support of District Administration and UT Administration, in future, Taekwondo players from Border District Poonch will win Medals for India.

The Deputy Commissioner assured to provide every possible help to the Taekwondo Players in respect of equipment and infrastructure to encourage and develop the interest of Taekwondo among the youth of rural areas as well. He also advised for holding sports events of all games on Azadi ka Amritsar Mahotsav Celebrations.

Hockey coach Matinderpal Singh also graced the occasion.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner along with ADDC presented BLACK BELT DAN 1 Certificates won by these players by participating in the World Taekwondo Championship and issued by the President of Kukkiwon -South Korea.
