DC Poonch gives away ex gratia relief to cross border shelling victims

Poonch: Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav on Wednesday gave away ex gratia relief to the victims of cross border shelling during ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
The DDC was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Angral, SDM Mendhar Sahil Jandial, SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padayar and other concerned officers.
The DC provided ex gratia relief of Rs.01 lakh and an amount of Rs.10000 out of Red Cross in favour of the next of the kin of a woman named Resham Bi resident of Village Sagra Tehsil Mankote who lost her life during cross border shelling at village Balakote of tehsil Mendhar. He also provided an amount of Rs.10000 out of Red Cross to Hakam Bi, resident of village Lanjote of tehsil Mendar who got injured during the ceasefire violation.
The DC, while interacting with the victim, inquired about her wellbeing and assured of all possible steps to mitigate their sufferings.
