Poonch: District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav on Monday visited Shiv Khori Temple to review the arrangements for Maha Shivratri festival.

He was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police, Ramesh Angral; Executive Engineers of PHE, PWD, PDD, Municipality and other concerned officers.

Besides, President Shiv Khori Mandir, Lokesh Anand, representatives of various social and religious organizations and civil society members were also present on the occasion.

The DDC discussed the arrangements being put in place, including provision of adequate water and power supply, sanitation, security, repair of roads, COVID-19 guidelines etc for the smooth celebration of Maha Shivratri.

He directed the Executive Engineers to ensure regular water and power supply to the Shiv Khori, Temple. Besides, the concerned authorities were directed to ensure sanitation and repair of potholes on the roads before the festival.

The DDC asked SSP to deploy requisite number of security personnel at all strategic points to ensure foolproof security. He further urged the public to cooperate with district administration and follow all necessary SOPs and guidelines for COVID-19 control.
