DC Poonch reviews COVID19 containment measures
Poonch: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav on Monday convened a meeting of the concerned officers to review the Covid Control measures in the district.
The Deputy Commissioner called for doubling the endeavours for the successful control of the virus in the district. He directed the concerned officers to make every possible effort to mitigate the sufferings of common masses. He said that there is a dire need for conducting aggressive sampling in the district to contain the spread of COVID19.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officers to enforce the usage of face masks and other protocols. He said that the need of the hour is to strengthen the entry points to lower the risk of COVID19 infection from the incomers entering the district.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned authorities for conducting contact tracing on a regular basis to avert further spread of COVID19 in the district. He said that contact tracing plays an important role in breaking the chain of transmission of COVID-19 and is an essential public health tool for controlling the virus.
He asked the Assistant Regional Transport Officer to conduct regular checking of the vehicles and ensure that all the SOPs and guidelines are followed by the drivers and passengers and take strict action as per rules if anyone is found violating the SOPs.
The meeting was attended by Senior Superintended of Police, Ramesh Angral, SDM Mendhar, Dr. Sahil Jandial, SDM Surankote, Saleem Qureshi, Incharge Quarantine, Zamood Ahmed, DPO Mukhlis Ali, Tehsildar Haveli, Anjum Bashir, Chief Medical Officer, BMOs and other concerned officers.
