DC Poonch reviews performance of Banks at DLRC meeting
Poonch: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today reviewed the performance of various government agencies and banks for the quarter ending March 2021 here at a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting.
He asked all banks and line departments to adopt a proactive approach to meet their assigned jobs and make sure that targets under all sectors are achieved. He further stressed the banks to increase the CD Ratio and achieve the targets under ACP.
The DDC impressed upon all government agencies to accelerate the process of sponsoring pending self-employment loan and asked the banks to reduce the time gap in the sanction and disbursement of the loan.
Stressing that the government is committed to provide the employment opportunity to unemployed youth, he asked the departments to encourage the youth to avail the benefits of employment schemes.
These schemes have incentives linked by way of margin money and subsidies which do help unemployed youth in establishing their own income generating units, he added.
Meanwhile, the DC directed banks to issue KCCs to all the eligible farmers without fail.
Regarding the KCC loan cases rejected by JK Bank, the DC directed LDM to submit the report with reasons of rejection. He further directed to submit the latest status under PMEGP and JKREGP, reasons of rejection alongwith causes of delay. For effective implementation, he asked to link JKREGP with the MUMKIN scheme. He warned the concerned not to force the people for collateral, where schemes permit loan without the same.
He also asked to furnish the list of cases disbursed without collateral. He also directed to spread awareness regarding various loan schemes through IEC activities.
He also asked to examine all those cases which can be routed through NULM.
It was informed in the meeting that Chikri wood craft is being promoted by the Handicraft department, and GI tagging is being done and the process will complete in 3 months.
LDM Poonch, Sukhbir Singh informed that during the last quarter the banks recorded a deposit of Rs.3268.66 crore and made advances to the tune of Rs.1364.03 crore.
It was further informed that a cumulative 39498 Kissan Credit Cards have been issued by the banks in the district till date amounting to Rs 145 crores.
