DC Rajouri hands over sewing machine to Specially-abled girl

RAJOURI : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today handed over a sewing machine to a specially-abled girl , Birta Devi Swari daughter of Balwan Singh of Koteranka block.

It is pertinent to mention here that Birta Devi is a twenty years old girl and is suffering from locomotor disability. She knows how to sew clothes but being poor, she was unable to purchase the sewing machine, so she applied for the same in the DC office.

The DC said that the District Administration is committed to provide the specially abled persons the right kind of atmosphere to develop their talent so that they become self-reliant.

Referring to a number of welfare initiatives launched by the government, he appealed to all the specially abled persons to come forward and avail themselves of the benefits of these initiatives.
