DC Rajouri inaugurates 3-Day Block Level Training cum Orientation Program for Youth on Investor Awareness and Education

 

RAJOURI: Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt of India, today organised a three Day Training cum Orientation Programme for Youth on Investor Awareness, Education and Protection here at Government Boys Pahari Hostel, Rajouri. The event was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal .

It is important to note that the Ministry of Corporate Affairs signed a MoU with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports under which rural youth are to be educated about financial matters as well as impart investor awareness education and protection. As part of this MoU, 4 block level training programmes are to be organised in Rajouri district .

The programme witnessed participation of more than 80 youth from all over the District Rajouri. During the event, Subject Matter Experts from financial, investment and banking background, would deliver lectures on specific topics and educate the youth on safe Investment Avenues and Opportunities.

The participants will stay at the venue for which proper boarding and lodging facilities have been arranged for them.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner urged the youth to learn from the subject matter experts and act as ambassadors for spreading the message further at their block and village level. “The programmes like these are unique in nature as it is very rare that training on such subjects are organised in rural areas” he said.

District Youth Officer, NYKS Nitin said that Rajouri was among the only 5 districts of J&K UT where these programmes are being organised. He informed that the similar programmes would be held in Sunderbani and Thannamandi.

The event concluded with the remarks of Hamid Malik Warden, Pahari Hostel. He thanked the Deputy Commissioner for visiting the camp and motivating the rural youth.

The Deputy Commissioner also undertook a comprehensive tour of the campus and assured the Warden of redressal of long pending issues.
