DC Rajouri inspects patient care at GMC& AH; ‘750 LPM capacity oxygen plant to be installed in Hospital soon’

 

Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today visited Government Medical College Hospital to inspect the patient care and finalize the site for the installation of a 750 LPM capacity Oxygen concentrator plant.

Among the others, Principal GMC, Dr. Brij Mohan Sharma; MS DH, Dr. Mehmood; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain; ExEn PDD Rajouri, Narotam Kumar; AEE Mechanical, Vinod Kumar besides the paramedical staff of the GMC&AH were present on the occasion.

Pertinently, apart from the already functioning oxygen concentrator plant of 1000 LPM capacity, the District Administration has decided to set up an additional oxygen concentrator plant of 2250 LPM capacity in the GMC&AH and the same would be installed in three parts of 750 LPM capacity each in a phased manner.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration Rajouri is continuing efforts for augmenting oxygen supply in GMC&AH and peripheral hospitals of the district to meet the requirements of medical oxygen in wake of rising number of COVID positive cases.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers from the Mechanical, PDD and PWD to immediately start the work on installation of 750 LPM capacity plant and work in day and night shifts to ensure that the project is completed within the shortest possible time so that assured medical oxygen supply is maintained in the GMC&AH for the convenience of the Covid patients whose life is completely dependent on medical oxygen.
