DC Rajouri interacts with local media persons

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today interacted with the media fraternity of the district here in a meeting held in the Conference Hall of the DDC office complex.

Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; DIO, Narinder Kumar were present at the meeting.

Addressing the media persons, the DDC said that media is the fourth pillar of democracy due to its important role in shaping public opinion. He noted that the media acts as a bridge between the public and the government by highlighting the public issues prompting the Government to resolve the same.

While appreciating the journalists of Rajouri for their unbiased and positive journalism, the DC encouraged them to work with more dedication and without fear or favor in projecting public issues for timely redressal by the administration.

Stressing on the need for strengthening the capacity of the journalists, the DC asked the media persons to organize special capacity building programs to upgrade their communication skills.

He also informed that the District Administration would also organize a workshop on media ethics soon.
