DC Rajouri releases compensation to NoKs of deceased workmen under WCA; education, cancer assistance under JKBOCW

 

RAJOURI : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today provided compensation to the NOKs of deceased workers under the Workmen Compensation Act and education and cancer assistance to the eligible beneficiaries under welfare schemes of J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

Assistant Labour Commissioner, Manisha was present on the occasion.

The Deputy Commissioner handed over cheques/invoices amounting to Rs 349407, Rs 50000 and Rs 57103 to NOKs of deceased workers under WCA and Education and Cancer Assistance under welfare schemes of JKBOCWWB respectively.

He asked the ALC to generate massive awareness among the construction workers about the schemes being implemented by the Labor Department in the district and motivate them to avail the benefits of the same.

The DC also asked the concerned officer to register all construction workers of the district with the department to enable them take the benefits of various schemes meant for their welfare.

The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the beneficiaries and assured them of all possible help.
