DC Rajouri reviews COVID mitigation measures at SDH Sunderbani

Rajouri: To take stock of the health care facilities being made available to the patients and steps being taken for the efficient containment and management of the COVID 19, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today visited the Sub District hospital Sunderbani.

During his visit, the Deputy Commissioner inquired from the medical staff about the COVID care facilities/arrangements put in place for the convenience of the patients in the SDH.

Terming vaccination only panacea against Covid 19, the Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned Health Authorities to take concrete measures to ensure cent per cent coverage of the remaining population of the district within days. At present the vaccination percentage in case of 45 years and above stands at 96 per cent in case of Health Block Sunderbani.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that special Panchayat level teams have been constituted for intensifying testing in rural areas. He directed BMK to ensure that each team must have the medicine kits which would be distributed to the covid positive patients at once.

The Deputy Commissioner also lauded the spirited and selfless efforts of the Health Department for the efficient containment and management of COVID19 in the district and urged upon them to work with the same zeal for the welfare of mankind.

The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to the public to help the District Administration in mitigating the pandemic in the district by following all Covid SOPs in letter and spirit andby taking the vaccination.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected the progress on the 500 LPM capacity Oxygen Concentrator plant being installed at SDH and asked the concerned officers to speed up the work on the project to ensure its time-bound completion so that assured medical oxygen supply is maintained in the SDH for the convenience of the Covid patients whose life is completely dependent on medical oxygen for their survival.
