DC Rajouri reviews implementation of Yuva Sahakar Yojna

Asks for wide publicity of scheme to generate livelihood avenues

 

RAJOURI : Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the implementation of the Yuva Sahakar scheme in the district, which envisages promotion of Cooperative Start-ups.

Officers present in the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; GM DIC, Ashwini Sharma; CAO, Som Singh; DSHO, Dr Sarfraz Naseem Chowdhary; CAHO, Dr Fazal Husain; CHO, Madan Lal; Dy Registrar Cooperative societies, Antar Singh; AD Employment, Rekha Rani and other concerned officers.

The youth-friendly scheme has been launched by National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) called Yuva Sahakar to meet the aspirations and requirements of the youth .

While reviewing progress regarding the registration of the cooperative societies under Yuva Sahakar scheme, the DC expressed concern over the slow registration process. He asked the concerned to expedite the process and ensure that the set target under the scheme was achieved at the earliest.

“Hold regular interactions with the registered Cooperative Societies in the district and make them aware about the objectives and benefits of Yuva Sahakar scheme so that more livelihood generation avenues are provided to youth of the district” he told the implementing department.

Stating that the Yuva Sahakar scheme would encourage Cooperatives to venture into new and innovative areas, he said that the Government has been encouraging start-ups for ease of doing business to ensure enhanced employability to the local youth.

He also asked the concerned officers to take effective measures for the better implementation of the scheme on ground and ensure that maximum youth of the district are benefitted under the scheme.
