DC Ramban discusses issue of Man-Animal conflict with WildLife Department
Ramban: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today held a detailed meeting with the Wild Life Department (WLD) and discussed issues related to Man-Animal conflict.
The meeting was attended by the Range officer (DDR) Ramban, Batote Range, Mansoor Ahmed Khan and others. The DC asked the Range Officer to take all preventive measures for safeguarding the lives of people by minimizing the incidents of Man- Animal conflict. He further directed the Wild Life Department to issue dos and don’ts for the people to avoid encounters and give these publicity through Print, Electronic and social Media Platforms.
Earlier, the Range officer briefed the DC about measures taken by the department for preventing incidents of man- animal conflict. He added that social media platforms are being used to sensitize the people about the precautions and sharing the control-room numbers for emergency operations.
The DC said that the district administration will approach the higher authorities of the Wild Life Department for addressing the problem of shortage of manpower in Batote -Ramban, Ranga, so that the local teams are strengthened and adequately equipped to tackle any emergency and take timely action to avoid any loss of lives.
