DC Ramban inspects implementation of Corona curfew in Banihal, healthcare facilities in Sub District Hospital
Ramban: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam today inspected progress of the establishment of 50 bedded Covid Care Centre, level-2 in new building of Sub-District Hospital, Banihal.
Being established by the District Administration, the Covid Care Centre will provide healthcare facilities to Covid patients of the adjoining blocks in view of surge in Covid positive cases.
DDC Member, Imtiaz Khanday; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; SDM, Zaheer Abbas Bhat; BMO and other senior officers of concerned departments were also present on the occasion.
After taking a round of the Banihal market, the DC went inspected the micro-containment zones. He also reviewed the status of implementation of Corona curfew and all other orders issued by the District Disaster Management Authority for time-to-time to contain the spread of Covid infection.
While interacting with local media persons, the DC said that the total bed capacity in Covid Care Centres of Level 1 and 2 has been increased to 618 in district whereas 50 bedded Covid Care Centre, level-2 will be made functional within a few days in new building of SDH, Banihal.
While reviewing the status of Covid vaccination and testing, the DC directed the BMO to start intensive testing in all designated micro containment zones besides conducting special camps in different areas to vaccinate people at their doorsteps. He also asked the officers to intensify registration of beneficiaries under SEHAT scheme besides sensitizing them about benefits of this beneficiary oriented initiative of Government.
Keeping in view surge in Covid positive cases in Banihal area, the DC sought cooperation from people of all walk of life to break Covid transmission chain by taking vaccine doses, wearing facemasks, maintaining social distancing, personal hygiene, hand washing besides implementing all other preventative measures and orders.
