DC Ramban inspects services delivery scenario in rural areas

Ramban: To resolve the issues raised by the deputations and individuals during public hearings, the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today conducted an extensive tour of Maitra and Gouvindpura areas.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed spot status of essential supplies and augmentation work being executed by Jal Shakti and other departments.

DDC, Member, Ramban, Renuka Katoch; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal; Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Tehsildar, Ramban, PRIs and civil society were present on the occasion.

Responding to the demand for dedicated water supply to the villages, the DC said that the government is committed to provide potable drinking water to every household and the department has already been directed to tap water resources to meet the requirements of the people.

At village Kundi, a deputation of women, also met the DC and apprised him about their demands and problems. Various other deputations and individuals also sought measures for improving public services delivery mechanism.

The DC directed PWD department to complete ongoing road project for providing better road connectivity to people of the area. Similarly, officers of other departments were urged to expedite execution of all developmental projects pertaining to their respective departments.
