DC Ramban reviews implementation of Covid restriction orders
Ramban: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today inspected various areas of Ramban to take stock of implementation of fresh orders regarding opening of 50% shops on odd-even basis besides plying of vehicles at half of authorized seating capacity.
The DC was accompanied by Dy. SP Rajinder Singh, Tehsildar, Rafiq Ahmed and other officers from various enforcement agencies.
The DC also reviewed the supply position of ration in government depots besides assessing the distribution system at ground level by interacting with consumers at Government Ration Depot, Maitra.
The DC also went to Bus Stand, Ramban and seized public transport vehicles violating Government orders on restriction of 50% on authorized seating capacity.
The DC urged people to adhere to COVID-19 SOPs and other preventative measures like wearing face masks and maintaining personal distance while venturing out to carry out their essential works in the wake of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Continuing drive to ensure implementation of orders issued to contaminate spread of COVID-19 infection in the district, the enforcement teams also realized a fine of Rs 9900 today and Rs. 352300 since April 1 from persons roaming without wearing face masks and not maintaining physical distance in public places besides urging people to stick to SoPs on gatherings and avoid crowding of public places.
The DC also visited Dakbungalow, Ramban to assess its condition. After taking first hand appraisal from staff, the DC decided to take the matter with the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation.
The DC also visited the construction site of Maitra Bridge being constructed over river Chenab, which will provide huge relief to the people of Ramban district.
