DC Reasi finalizes Rs 526.11 Crore District Action plan under Jal Jeevan Mission

 

Reasi: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today chaired a meeting regarding updating and finalization of District Action Plan for implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Jyoti Slathia; CPO Sunita Kanchan; DFO Mahore, Mohinder Singh, XEN Jal Shakti, Reasi; XEN Mahore; CMO Dr. Rajeev Sharna; CEO Mohd. Aziz and besides other concerned officers.

District Action Plan (DAP) for providing 100% Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) that was finalized today comprised of 117 retrofitting water supply schemes for the twin PHE Divisions (MID Dharamri & PHE Division Reasi) with an estimated provision of Rs.526.11 Crore .

The meeting was informed that DPRs for these schemes were prepared on the basis of Sanctioned Schedule of Rates (SSR)-2012 and accordingly, tenders were floated for 101 schemes but due to poor response, only 12 tenders were successful and allotment was made. To get adequate response, the rates were revised as per new Sanctioned Schedule of Rates-2020 with an estimated cost of Rs 593 crores to speed up the developmental work.

During the meeting, all the members of the DJJM under the Chairmanship if DC Reasi, Charandeep Singh (Chairman DJJM) after going through the changes/additions in the earlier DAP unanimously approved the new proposal for providing potable water to all the uncovered rural households of the district and accordingly finalized the District Action Plan.

Meanwhile, 120 more handpumps were approved for maintenance and repair work, earlier the committee had shortlisted around 70 hand pumps.
