DC Reasi inaugurates weeklong celebration of PMMVA, POSHAN Maah 2021
Asks stakeholders to follow activity calendar of the programme
REASI : The Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Abhiyan (PMMVA) Saptah and POSHAN Maah 2021was today launched by Deputy Development Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh here at an impressive function organized by the District Programme Officer ICDS, Renu Kumari.
During the programme a power point presentation was given by CDPO Reasi highlighting the approach to be followed during the Maah. All the stakeholders/convergent departments were asked by the Deputy Commissioner Reasi to put their best efforts to follow the activity calendar of the programme as per the weekly themes devised by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development.
The DC further instructed the concerned to organize awareness program at each ICDS Project in convergence with line Departments to extend the benefits of the schemes to the eligible persons.
On the occasion, Charandeep Singh also released the pamphlets of PMMVY and POSHAN Abhiyan.
Meanwhile, the Supervisors, Anganwadi Workers and helpers were educated about the guidelines regarding celebration of Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Saptah and POSHAN Maah.
Pertinently, PMMVY and Poshan Abhiyan the centrally sponsored flagships programmes have been launched by the Government of India to improve nutritional health for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
ADDC Jyoti Rani Slathia, CMO Dr. Rajiv Kumar Sharma, CAO Sudhir Singh, Assistant Controller Food Safety Reasi Magan Magotra and CDPO Reasi, Anjum Ganai and other officers and officials of ICDS department were present in the programme
