DC Reasi reviews performance of banks at DLRC meeting

Urges bankers, line departments to focus on remote, areas sans banking facility

REASI: Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Charandeep Singh today chaired a meeting of District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and reviewed the performance of banks regarding achievements under Annual Credit Plan 2021-22 besides position of deposits, advances and CD ratio.

The meeting was attended by Cluster head, J&K Bank, Vikram Malhotra; LDM, Habibulla Lone; DDM, NABARD, Adarsh Gupta; General Manager DIC, Gurdev Kumar; District Coordinator, SBI, Rajat Jain besides, officers and officials of banks and line Department.

During threadbare discussions, Lead District Manager (LDM), Habibulla Lone informed that the bank recorded Rs 2800.04 crore deposits and Rs 1238.58 crore advances in the district as on 30th June, 21. The CD Ratio of the District was 44.23 percent while the total achievement under ACP 2021 stood at Rs 121.45 crore as on July 30, 2021 which is 12.06 percent of ACP 2021-22.

While taking overall review of the Government sponsored schemes, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized upon the officers to maintain coordination with banks for the effective implementation of credit linked schemes.

The Deputy Commissioner impressed upon the concerned officers to conduct awareness camps in coordination with lead banks especially in remote and unbanked areas of the district with the participation of government officials and to motivate the people for availing the self employment schemes being launched by the GoI for the welfare of the farmers. He also directed the concerned line departments to go for proper hand holding of farmers so that they can easily avail loans thereby ensuring doubling of their income.
