DC Reasi visits Thuroo, Dharmari; Inspects health care facilities and orders an inquiry into the delay in handing over of new building of PHC Thuroo
Reasi: Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Charandeep Singh, today conducted extensive tour of Sub Division Dharmari and inspected Public Health Centre, New type Public Health Centre Thuroo and took stock of various issues and assessed the availability of patient care facilities and functioning of different departments at the twin health institutions.
The DC passed necessary instructions to doctors and health care workers for providing all health related services to the patients effectively.
The DC also gave directions to the medical staff to strictly follow the COVID SOPs to prevent spread of the deadly pandemic and also appealed to PRIs to encourage the general public for vaccination.
He further appealed to the public to take the vaccine which is the only potent tool to defeat COVID-19 pandemic.
He further added that the purpose of visiting PHC Dharmari and NPHC Thuroo is to ensure improvement and development of these Health Institutions to ensure better healthcare facilities for those in need.
The Deputy Commissioner directed SDM Dharmari and PWD to handover the newly constructed PHC building at Thuroo to the health department. He also asked the Revenue department for land acquisition for the roads.
He took serious note of delay in the completion of Government Degree College campus building and directed the SDM Dharmari to prepare a detailed report of the projects which are still incomplete/delayed due to any reason. He asked the SDM to furnish the report to his office so that corrective measures are taken to complete all the projects of public importance in a time bound manner.
Observing that the condition of Roads in the Sub Division is not that good, the DC Reasi assured that every possible effort would be made to upgrade and blacktop these in the shortest time.
Later , Charandeep Singh chaired a meeting with PRIs and all officers of different Departments in which he asked them to encourage the people for vaccination.
On this occasion, he said that COVID Care Centres have been established in every Panchayat of district Reasi for isolation, treatment and monitoring of Covid Positive patients and safety of their loved ones.
Charandeep Singh resolved some issues on the spot, besides issuing instructions to the concerned departments for looking into all the pending issues for an early redressal.
SDM Dharmari, Faz lul Haseeb, Tehsildar Thuroo, Dr.Riaz Ahmed, BDO Thuroo Rajinder Singh, Dy CMO, Dr. Yousaf, Xen PMGSY Satpal, Xen PHE Roshan Din were also present.
