DC reviews roll out of Mission Youth in Poonch; District to have 3 Counselling Centres; process to form Panchayat Youth Clubs to set in

 

POONCH : Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting to review the roll out of Mission Youth in the district.

After a thorough discussion the meeting decided to establish three youth Counselling centres and start the process for establishment of Panchayat youth clubs. The ACD was directed to establish Youth Clubs at Panchayat level and complete the process within one week.

The proposal for establishment of three Youth Counselling Centres and identification of the places for the same was also discussed.

The Deputy Commissioner said that UT of J&K is bestowed with a predominantly young population and this valuable human resource needs to be engaged in constructive activities, which forms the core objective of Mission Youth.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed the ACD, DYSO and CEO to constitute two youth sports groups at Panchayat level and submit the lists at an earliest.

Directions were issued to the AD Handloom, AD Handicraft, DSWO, NRLM, RSETI to provide last four years data of trained women.

Manager DayNULM, Rajiv Sharma proposed E-Riksha scheme for commercial purposes on smaller routes.

Paying Guest Facility registration was proposed in the meeting in which some areas of district Poonch were selected viz Bufliaz, Loran, Jabbitoti, Sabjian, Danna, Nandi Chool, Chote shah etc.

The DC directed the District Social Welfare Officer to submit the details of persons with Disability between the age group of 18-35 years.

The BDOs were asked to identify the technically trained youth in the age of 18-35 in consultation with PRIs and submit the detail at an earliest.

He asked to improve delivery of government schemes and to give preference to unemployed youth so that they can earn money and livelihood.

For the establishment of Youth Clubs in all 229 Panchayats, the DC directed the ACD to collect data of each Panchayat and give first preference to the construction/ upgradation of the playfield.

Degree College Ground and Municipality Hall Poonch were proposed for setting up of three Youth Counselling Centres.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Poonch Abdul Sattar, Chief Planning Officer, Madan lal, Assistant Commissioner Development, Rajesh Lakhan, CEO Tourism, Dr.Mohd. Tanveer, CEO Education, Assitant Labour Commissioner, Abid Hussain, District Social Welfare Officer, Shakeel Ahmed, Manager, DayNULM, Rajeev Sharma besides other officers.
