DC Samba chairs Block Divas at border Village Bain; Clears pending relief cases of WPR, DPs

 

SAMBA : As a part of Public Outreach programme of JK Government, District Administration Samba today organized weekly Block Divas at Samba, Ghagwal and Vijaypur and addressed several grievances of public amid participation of Panchayat representatives and officials.

Deputy Commissioner Anuradha Gupta participated in the Block Divas meeting held at zero line border village Bain and redressed various issues and demands of the locals. The Deputy Commissioner Samba cleared the pending relief cases of PoK Displaced Persons and West Pakistani Refugees, in presence of PRs and Revenue officials.

The DC Samba also constituted a committee for early disposal of such cases of border area.

The field officials were directed to prepare a list of the demands of the people in their respective jurisdiction in advance to facilitate on the spot redress of the same during weekly Block Diwas meetings. “The prime motive of Block Divas is to address the clear bottlenecks with active convergence of all the line departments at a common platform in presence of local governing bodies” said the DC.

The DC laid emphasis on streamlining the public services delivery including issuance of revenue certificates, surrender certificate, Ration Card, transport department related services.

The Block Divas meetings were also held at Block Ghagwal and Block Vijaypur under supervision of SDM Ghagwal Ramkesh and SDM Vijaypur Vinay Sharma.

District Development Council Member Subash Bhagat; Additional District Development Commissioner, Tilak Raj Shastri; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ravinder Kumar Anand besides other district and sectoral officers accompanied the DC.
