DC Samba chairs Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Management committee meeting

 

SAMBA : The Management Committee meeting of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Nud District Samba (J&K) was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, here in the meeting hall of District Administrative Complex, Nandini Hills.

Officers present in the meeting were Sukhleen Kaur, Chief Planning Officer; Jitender Mishra, Assistant Commissioner Revenue; Dr Sanjay Turki, Chief Medical Officer; B.N. Bhandari, Executive Engineer Electric, PDD; Sunil Sharma, Executive Engineer, PHE; Darshan Kumar Kaith, Executive Engineer, PWD; Chief Education Officer; Public Representatives Narsingh Dayal, Taro Devi, Nek Ram, besides Som Nath, Principal, JNV, R.K. Singh, Vice Principal, JNV Samba (J&K).

The Principal JNV, through a Power Point Presentation, informed that JNV Nud is an ‘A’ category Vidyalaya with a capacity to enroll 80 students every year through JNVST. He also gave detailed information on the vocational stream of Hospitality and Tourism which is being offered in the classes XI & XII alongwith the Science and Commerce streams.

The Deputy Commissioner Samba laid emphasis upon the school to motivate the students to take part in athletics and keep practicing in sports discipline. She encouraged the school to follow the guidelines of the FIT India movement. She also advised the Principal to ensure that the learning gaps which might have crept in because of the online mode of teaching should be bridged by using creative techniques on this basis of individual mapping of the students so that no student suffers on account of non-availability of mobile phones. During the meeting other issues discussed included outage caused by frequent power cuts though the vidyalaya has been provided with a dedicated feeder line exclusively for JNV Nud, irregular water supply, construction of dug well, demarcation and fencing of the school land. She further directed concerned district officers to immediately resolve all the issues and ensure maintenance and default visits to school campus.
